Signed and dated 1901 pen, ink and watercolor drawing (NOT a print) of a steam engine. Signed by Charles Fouque and he also made note of his location, which was Souk Ahras, a province of Algeria. It is in excellent condition with a newer mat and black frame and measures 31" wide by 24.5" high overall

Paul Warren Zimmerman landscape watercolor titled "Rivers Edge" mid to late 20thc. American, born 1921 D 2007. This lovely landscape painting measures 14 x 20 inches. The gold leaf frame measures 26.5 x 20.5 inches.Paul Warren Zimmerman, was an internationally known artist who lived and Hartford, Conn., formerly of Kokomo. He was born April 29, 1921, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of the late Robert Frazee and Ethel Pearl (Cramer) Zimmerman.He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1941, with a full scholarship to John Herron Art School in Indianapolis. He graduated in 1946 with a B.F.A. Upon graduation he was awarded the Mary Milliken Memorial Fund Scholarship.He continued his training in New York City, under the auspices of Heinrich Mayer. In 1947 he became associate professor of painting and design at Hartford University School of Art. He semi-retired in 1986. He was awarded a Ford Foundation Grant, American Academy of Arts and letters and associate membership in the Academy of Painting and Design in 1959. Nineteen pieces of his works were brought to Kokomo in 1958 for display during the Spring Exhibit of Kokomo High School’s Fine Arts Students, under the direction of KHS art instructor Miss Bernice McKinley. He had well over 86 awards. This information was obtained from the Kokomo Tribune, Kokomo, Inidan December 17, 2007.

Jennie Burr American impressionist landscape oil painting on canvas signed in pencil on back, J C Burr. This painting by J C Burr measures 16 inches wide and is 12 inches tall. The frame measures 18.5 x 14.5 inches. Fannie and Jennie Burr. 1872 to 1961 and 1858 to 1931. They were 2 of 5 children born into Monroe, CT's most prominent family. Their father was a very successful farmer. Although the 2 sisters were 14 years apart, they were close. The began to drawing when they were children, and later attended and graduated from the Yale School of Fine Arts. After that, Fannie studied at the Art Students League in NYC. These accomplishments were very rare for a young woman in those days. List in Who Was Who in American Art by Falk. Exhibition at the New Britain Museum of American Art New Britain CT. Catalogue of work produced by The Connecticut Gallery Inc. This painting was acquired directly from an heir to the estate.
