"Flemish oil paintings" Flemish artist,Early period Flemish oil painting. Antique Flemish oil painting on copper tray fantastical landscape. Possibly Roman ruins in Holland. Depicts a herdsman with his cows outside of a small village with a horse and carriage arriving.This painting was painted by a very skilled artist of the day. Excellent condition.C1790 to 1820. Measures 28 inches wide by 22 and one half inches deep.

English artist "George Hyde Pownall" Antique English 19th century oil painting. Painting by George Hyde Pownall. The scene is a view of the Thames River and London skylinefrom a window of the Savoy Hotel. Pownall was an Australian born,English educated musician, composer and artist and is listed. This information is confirmed by the Witt Library in London, although there is some confusion about the dates shown on the file folder, showing 1840-1845. Otherwise, the information matches.He died in 1932. Orginial frame with label "W.C.Isle,Dealer in Works of Art,96 Southampton Row,Russel Square,London W.C." Frame measures 15 and one quarter inches by 12". Painting measures 6 inches by 9".
