"American watercolor landscape"Antique American impressionist art landscape Watercolor by Artists Jennie (1872-1961) and Fannie Burr (1858-1931). This American impressionist landscape measures 9 and three quarters inches by 6 and three quarters inches overall 17 and one quarter inches by 21 and one quarter inches. They were 2 of 5 children born into Monroe, CTs most prominent family. Their father was a very successful farmer. Although the 2 sisters were 14 years apart, they were close. Fannie began to draw as a child. She later attended and graduated from the Yale School of Fine Arts. After that, she studied at the Art Students League in NYC. These accomplishments were very rare for a young woman in those days.

Entitled "Red Sky",This oil painting measures 31 and one half inches h x 39"w. Born 1916, died 1992.There has just been a book published about Jon Schueler and his work. Jon Schueler was taught by Clyfford Still and Willem de Kooning. One of a collection of his works we have in stock.
