Belgian oil on canvas lanndscape. A moody and atmospheric winter village scene painted in the impressionist style by 19th century Belgian artist Herman Broechaert. Canvas measures 13 and one half by 19 inches. The original frame measures 15 by 20 and one half inches. Signed lower right. One old professional repair to back of canvas.

"American fine art" Fine Art landscape Watercolor by American Artist Jennie (1872-1961) and Fannie Burr (1858-1931). Measures 10 and three quarters inches by 14 and one half inches overall 17 and one quarter inches by 21 and one quarter inches. They were 2 of 5 children born into Monroe, CTs most prominent family. Their father was a very successful farmer. Although the 2 sisters were 14 years apart, they were close. Fannie began to draw as a child. She later attended and graduated from the Yale School of Fine Arts. After that, she studied at the Art Students League in NYC. These accomplishments were very rare for a young woman in those days.
