Landscape painting by American artist Dexter B Dawes,"Dexter B Dawes", this lovely watercolor painting was painted by American impressionist artist Dexter B Dawes born June 15, 1872 in Englewood NJ. This watercolor measures 13 inches by 16 inches and is in its original frame which measures 19 inches by 21 and one half inches. The back has written in pencil Winter morning by D B Dawes Marlboro N H. See Davenports page 504,Mallett page 103 or Mantle Fieldings page 208 for more information on this artist.

Born 1842 Orange NJ died 1937 Nyack,NY.This wonderful seascape oil on canvas measures 12 inches by 17 inches, the frame measures 15 inches by 19 and one half inches. The scene depicts rocks and a sandy beach. Signed Albert Insley lower right.

Fannie and Jennie Burr. "Fannie Jennie Burr" 1872 to 1961 and 1858 to 1931.Black eyed Susans in a vase, oil on canvas by Fannie Burr, this wonderful painting depicts black eyed susan flowers in a vase. This oil on canvas measures 13 inches by 23 inches.They were 2 of 5 children born into Monroe, CT's most prominent family. Their father was a very successful farmer. Although the 2 sisters were 14 years apart, they were close. Fannie began to draw as a child. She later attended and graduated from the Yale School of Fine Arts. After that, she studied at the Art Students League in NYC. These accomplishments were very rare for a young woman in those days. List in Who Was Who in American Art by Falk
