The case itself measures 37 and three quarter inches wide by 27 and three quarter inches high. Local Artist, lived in New Canaan, Connecticut. Born Robert Clark in New Castle, Indiana, in 1928, Robert Indiana adopted the name of his native state as a pseudonymous surname early in his career.This print is in excellent condition and just came to in from the Dun and Bradstreet art collection. Contemporary artist, Robert Indiana. Credit: "300 Years of American Art" by Michael David Zellman. Has works in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Albirght-Knox Gallery, Buffalo, NY, Famous for images of the spelling of the word, "LOVE". See page 1683 in "Who was Who in American Art, 1564-1975" by Falk. Just in from the Dun and Bradstreet Art Collection

Item # 3056

Antique oil on canvas over board portrait of a woman in a green gown, with jewelry, a golden topaz brooch and an emerald and ruby bracelet. Measures 40 inches high and is 33 inches wide. The frame on this antique painting measures 2 and one half inches wide. This oil on board portrait dates from the Civil War era. The back of the canvas is marked William and Stevens 353 Broadway New York. This firm was in business from 1851 to 1859. Just in from a CT estate. It has been cleaned and is in excellent condition.
