Antique Portrait of a Woman oil on canvas over board Item # 3056 Antique oil on canvas over board portrait of a woman in a green gown, with jewelry, a golden topaz brooch and an emerald and ruby bracelet. Measures 40 inches high and is 33 inches wide. The frame on this antique painting measures 2 and one half inches wide. This oil on board portrait dates from the Civil War era. The back of the canvas is marked William and Stevens 353 Broadway New York. This firm was in business from 1851 to 1859. Just in from a CT estate. It has been cleaned and is in excellent condition.
