Official authorization and approval of a most unusual agreement in which a third party is authorized to receive a commission on the sale of real estate. Commissions on real estate transactions at that time were unheard of because the concept was considered highly unethical. This is the earliest known record of this type of real estate agreement. Antique Hudson River Valley Oil Painting Item # 3202 Antique Hudson River Valley oil painting. This rare "Hudson River Valley Painting" has the most beautiful colors. The painting frame measures 24 inches by 31 inches the painting measures 22 by 29. The are a few patches on the back that were put on to patch small old holes in the painting quite typical of original paintings from this period. We do show the back in one of the extra photographs so all you have to do is look at the photograph. It came to us from a Lower CT Estate.
