Oil painting by Sarah Louise Kilpack coastal scene at Portel on the French Coast. "Sarah Louise Kilpack" was an English Artist born in 1880 and died in 1909. This well executed oil painting under glass is in its original frame and the sight size is 5 and three quarters inches by 8 and three quarters inches with a frame that measures 14 and three quarters inches wide by 11 and three quarter inches high.Signed lower left l l Kilpack. Excellent condition. This painting has great light and is quite dramatic with the storm waves splashing against the cliffs. Caribe Heitor Julio Paride Bernabo 1911- 1998 BR Caribe' is a pseudonym of Hector Bernabo' Born Lanus, Argentine 1911. See "New Brazil Art by Pietro Maria Bardi Praeger Publishers c1970 page 152 "In his work he reproduces the folklore of Bahia which is his permanent theme. He executed a fresco for the American Airline Building at Idlewild Airport of New York in 1959" This wonderful piece is in original condition made from multiple pieces of scrap wood nail together and than hand carved to show the images of natives at dance and war. There is a small piece missing from the lower left which we show in one of the extra pictures we have supplied. The paint is blue and white with some flaking but most all the paint is fine. This piece was stored outside so it has some weathering effect to it.
