Antique German Still Life Oil painting c1876

Item # 3778

Antique German Still Life Oil painting c1876. This still life depicts bottles of wine and Champagne in a silver ice bucket on a table with cloth among fruit and after diner cigar. This painting is extremely well done. Measures 5 and three quarters by seven and three quarters. Signed lower right. The signature looks to say May Schud. We are sure of the first name May but not exactly sure of the second name. The quality of this painting is such that the artist must have been well schooled. As wonderful as the painting looks in the photographs we are providing the painting looks even more important in person.
